Awaken the Goddess. Strengthen the Sisterhood.

I've spent enough time around power to know that standing beside it and possessing it are two very different things.

Women have been encouraged for generations to pour enormous pieces of ourselves into other people's kingdoms. We have supported careers, protected reputations, raised families, carried businesses, nurtured ambitions and stood quietly behind some very powerful men. Somewhere along the way, many of us learned to measure our own success by how close we could get to power, rather than recognizing how much power already existed between us.

I have absolutely no interest in continuing that tradition.

Proximity is not power, and another woman's power takes nothing away from mine.

There is room for more than one Goddess in the room. Actually, I would prefer a world full of them. Women who know their worth, who are comfortable exploring their sexuality, who can speak about pleasure without shame and who share knowledge freely because watching another woman rise doesn't require us to become smaller.

That kind of sisterhood creates magic.

And as a witch, I don't use that word lightly.

There is something incredibly powerful about intention. You decide what you desire, believe yourself worthy of receiving it and begin putting your energy toward creating it. Then comes the part people sometimes leave out when they talk about manifestation: you have to participate in what you're calling toward you.

You can perform the ritual. Light the candle. Set the intention. Speak your desires into existence. But Goddess, eventually you have to get up and do the fucking work.

That's where manifestation becomes creation.

Maybe that's one of the reasons my witchcraft and my Dominance have always lived so comfortably together. Both require me to be clear about what I want, what I will accept, what belongs in my space and what absolutely fucking doesn't.

Those are questions capable of changing a woman's relationship with herself long before anybody ever kneels at her feet.

When a Woman Begins Exploring Her Dominance

Sometimes it starts with a fantasy.

Maybe she discovers that giving the command excites her more than receiving it. Maybe she's curious about restraint, worship, control, service, humiliation, ritual or Financial Domination. Maybe she simply experiences the delicious novelty of someone asking her, What would please you?

That's one hell of a question for a woman who has spent much of her life considering everyone else's pleasure first.

Female Domination gives us an avenue to explore our own, but once that door opens there is considerably more behind it than most people realize.

You begin learning the craft of power exchange. You discover your boundaries and learn to respect the boundaries of the person surrendering to you. You learn how to vet, negotiate and recognize red flags. Eventually you understand that holding someone's submission comes with responsibility because there is a human being attached to the other end of that leash.

This is where experience becomes valuable.

I've lived within BDSM for more than twenty years, and I'm still learning. I believe deeply in women learning from other women without being expected to become copies of them.

Learn from me. Learn from another experienced Domme. Listen to the submissives who trust you enough to share their experiences with you. Ask questions. Pay attention. Take that knowledge and allow it to pass through the filter of your own instincts, ethics, desires and personality.

Eventually you stop wondering what a Goddess is supposed to look like and start recognizing your own reflection.

That's part of the awakening.

And Then There's Findom...

Financial Domination has become one of the most visible forms of Femdom online and simultaneously one of the most misunderstood.

Of course people see the money. Money already carries power, security, status, freedom and emotion before we even bring fetish into the equation. Add erotic surrender and things become very interesting.

But somewhere along the way, Findom got flattened into "Fuck you. Pay me."

I enjoy a tribute as much as the next Financial Dominatrix, but there is an entire fetish underneath that transaction.

That's the part I want women to understand.

You're dealing with desire, vulnerability, anticipation, devotion, control and very real finances. Knowing who you're dealing with before deciding what access they receive is part of the craft. So is recognizing manipulation, understanding your limits and respecting the limits that have been negotiated with you.

Sometimes the most Dominant word in your vocabulary is simply no.

A tribute may be financial, but the exchange is human. That is something I never want women entering Findom to forget.

It's also a large part of why I wrote Femdom Foundations: A Ritual Guide to Erotic Leadership, Devotion & Dominant Womanhood.

I wanted women to have something deeper than commands, captions and screenshots of somebody else's tributes. I wanted to talk about what happens before someone kneels: who you're allowing into your world, how you're vetting them, where the boundaries lie and what kind of dynamic you're actually creating together.

Most importantly, I wanted women to consider who they are becoming through all of this.

Knowing Your Worth Changes Things

There is an alchemy that happens when a woman genuinely begins recognizing her worth.

Her choices start changing.

She becomes more selective with her time and energy. She becomes more aware of who receives access to her. Her standards become clearer, her boundaries stronger and the things she once accepted simply because she thought she had to can start looking very different.

She also begins putting real energy toward the things she wants.

That's manifestation as I understand it. Not wishing, but intention followed by action.

You believe yourself worthy of something more, you aspire toward it and you consistently make choices that bring you closer to it.

Nothing about that promises instant results.

I've had ideas that worked beautifully and ideas that fell flat on their face. I've created things people embraced and others that forced me to rethink the entire plan. I'm still creating, learning, manifesting and becoming.

That's real life.

And especially in Findom, I think women need to hear it.

The internet can show you somebody's tribute without showing you the months or years she spent building the presence that attracted it. It can show you a successful Domme without showing you the awkward beginnings, mistakes, lessons and consistency that helped create her.

There is no shame in being at the beginning, and there is certainly no shame in learning from a woman further along the path.

I can reach toward women who know something I haven't learned yet while extending my hand to the Goddess coming behind me. One day she may do exactly the same for another woman.

That's sisterhood. And that is how we rise.

Goddess Awakens

This is the energy I'm bringing into Goddess Awakens on Sunday, August 30.

I want women to have an avenue to explore confidence, pleasure, sexuality, power and Female Domination together. I want curiosity in the room. I want women to feel comfortable asking questions they may never have said aloud. I want pleasure to exist without shame attached to it, and I want women recognizing their worth before worrying about whether anyone else recognizes it.

We'll talk about Dominance and desire. We'll explore the Goddess within and bring ritual and intention into the experience. A select few women will join me in person in Edmonton, while others can tune in live online here at FetDungeon.com.

I'll bring more than twenty years of experience within the BDSM lifestyle, my work in Female and Financial Domination, what I've learned through writing Femdom Foundations, my witchcraft, my successes and my mistakes.

You bring your curiosity.

You don't need to walk through the door already knowing what kind of Goddess you are. That's rather the point of awakening her.

And when she finally starts making herself known, I want her surrounded by women who aren't threatened by what she might become. Women who look at her and think, there you fucking are.

A Goddess may awaken within herself, but she doesn't have to rise alone.

Awaken the Goddess. Strengthen the Sisterhood.
